My Birthday Lunch at Infusion Tea – Vegan Chocolate and Peanut Butter Cupcake Included

My birthday lunch at Infusion Tea started off great and ended even better.

Since visiting for the first time for a meeting with a few of my colleagues, Infusion Tea has become my go-to lunch spot. The food is ALWAYS great, and the tea is amazingly refreshing. If you have yet to visit “Orlando’s organic tea cafe,” it is located right on Edgewater Drive, which is such a great area with diverse places to eat.

Their menu is filled with a number of items made from fresh ingredients. Some of my favorite dishes include the Milton Special, which is a salad topped with hummus, beets, tomatoes, cranberries, and cucumbers, and my ultimate favorite, the avocado delight sandwich. Not only is it filled with creamy avocado, but it also has spinach, hummus, tomatoes, and sunflower seeds. It is so good.

Although I was tempted to go with my usuals for my birthday lunch, I decided to try something different– kind of. For my lunch combo of 1/2 salad and 1/2 sandwich, I went with the Milton Special for my salad — my usual. But, I switched things up a bit and went for the sweet potato tacos as my 1/2 sandwich. I had seen this on the menu several times before, but just didn’t feel like trying something that just may not be good. I will go on the record and say that although I had a great birthday experience, I should have tried the taco a long time ago. It was amazing!

Here are the details: the taco is filled with guacamole, a chipotle sour cream, roasted sweet potatoes, and then cheddar jack cheese is sprinkled on top. YES! I tried eating this as slowly as I possibly could because I didn’t want it to be over. That is how good it was. Plus, my Milton Special went perfectly with the tacos.

Just when you thought it was all over, I had a cute little box next to me with a mini cupcake inside. Although they don’t make them in house, Infusion Tea is always stocked full of sweet treats both regular and vegan. The day I visited, I had a coupon for a free cupcake so I went for a vegan chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting. I couldn’t get the cashier to tell me what bakery it was from, but I have a pretty good idea that it may have been from Raphsodic Bakery. They have some of the best vegan cupcakes around. Let me first say that I had to stop myself from just eating the frosting by itself and leaving the cake to eat alone at the end. The frosting was thick and yummy. The chocolate cake was great too!

If you love great sandwiches and salads — even tacos, I highly recommend visiting Infusion Tea. They have outdoor seating too so you can people watch while eating.
