There’s just something about Dandelion Communitea Cafe. From the huge plate of vegan nachos to the overstuffed wraps and weekly poetry/comedy nights, the eclectic restaurant is one of the best places in Central Florida that mixes great vegetarian and vegan food with a great cultural experience.
During my recent visit to Dandelion, I had an opportunity to try it all! I started with a few of the favorite dishes: Buffalo 66 Wrap, which is their vegan take on a buffalo chicken wrap, complete with tempeh tenders, quinoa, buffalo sauce, and vegan bleu cheese. Talk about good! Let’s not forget about The Giddyup Salad, which starts with a huge helping of their vegan chili atop blue corn chips then is finished off with their homemade, creamy vegan queso. And after all of that great food, the fun continued on the outside patio for the weekly Diverse Word event, where local performers of all skill levels can come together and perform their poetry and comedy to a large crowd of local fans.
There is only so much that I can tell you. You have to check out the video to see all the great food and fun that I had during my one night at Dandelion Communitea Cafe.
